In 2012, the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ introduced the practice of cooperating with organizations competent in detecting malicious activity in the Internet. These organizations have the necessary knowledge and skills for detecting websites with illegal content, collecting and reporting incidents of phishing, unauthorized access to information systems and spreading malware via domain names in .РФ and .RU. The Coordination Center granted these organizations the right to request accredited registrars to terminate domain name delegation for violating websites. Registrars also have the right to terminate domain name delegation upon requests from competent organizations.
The parties interact under the Terms and Conditions of Domain Name Registration in .RU and .РФ. As per Clause 5.7, the registrar has the right to terminate domain delegation upon receiving a substantiated request from an organization which the coordinator recognizes as an organization competent in detecting violations online.

The Coordination Center currently has the agreements with twelve Competent organizations: National Computer Incident Response and Coordination Center, Safe Internet League, F.A.C.C.T., Kaspersky Lab, RU-CERT, ROCIT, the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology, Mass Media (Roskomnadzor), BI.ZONE, the Bank of Russia, Dr.Web, Rostelecom Solar and Integral. Any user can complaint about detected cases of malicious activity via the hotline of any of these organizations. Response measures will be taken promptly.
